When
someone gets something in the mail that was unsolicited, chances are
that it will wind up in the garbage in record time. However, occasionally
a piece will come in that catches the eye or the imagination. What
is the difference between these pieces - the ones that got noticed
were most likely created by a professional graphic artist, the ones
that went in the garbage - well who knows - the point is, we design
the ones that catch the eye. After twenty five years of printing for
some of the best ad agencies around, we (though not an official ad
agency) feel confident that we have learned from the best teacher
there is . . . Experience.
We have
a state of the art typesetting department, and the people with the
talent (computer and design - it takes both) to make the machines
work.
Proofs are given to the customer in 1200 DPI laser black and white
first until the type and different elements are in the position desired,
then if color is involved a color print is done to verify color breaks.
Most of the initial proofing can be done with the fax machine. If
a color proof is involved we will be glad to drop it by if that is
possible, if not the mail usually delivers any letter in the surrounding
areas in one day and longer distances can be FedEx'ed or Priority
Mailed. A viewing of the file can also be downloaded to you via the
internet.
We have
a large pool of design ideas, drawing on 25 years of printing experience.
We do
work for many large corporations with a lot of people, so that means
sometimes there can be a lot of changes before the project is finished.
Not because of the design work but because what is requested of us
is not what they want when they see it. We try to make clear any pitfalls
and definite no-no's to avoid, but in the end the decision to go ahead
is up to you the customer.
We have
different design ideas for brochures and mailers that are not your
run of the mill average piece.
If you
have a piece that you like and want recreated with your information,
we can do it. We cannot re-create copywritten material but most design
ideas are usually not copywritten. Logos and copy are usually what
is copywritten, leaving the basic idea wide open for reconstruction.
We can create composite photos from existing photos, logos or prints
- our extensive knowledge of our photo-manipulation software makes
almost anything possible.
In the past we have set guitars on fire (see below), put human heads
on ducks, pieced cars together, we have even put people standing in
a swimming pool with water up to their shoulders in a lake situation
with trees in the background and water up to their noses, the swimming
pool was totally edited out leaving a very realistic picture of people
standing in a lake.
If you
didn't know that the people were photographed in a pool and the fire
on the guitar was super-imposed, you would never know.
All effects
and manipulations are seamless, making the photo look like it was
taken that way.

We have a lot of experience doing custom forms work. We have been
doing forms for several police departments, courts and municipalities
for over 12 years. We all know those kind of organizations have plenty
of paperwork. However, the only red tape we have is on a roll.
When doing a custom form all we ask is that you get us started with
a rough draft
(in pencil is fine) of what you have in your head so that we can start
off with a better understanding of the form from the beginning. Believe
it or not this is very important.
We have
a large library of different forms that we have done in the past saved
in our computer, often we can rearrange them to suit your needs, saving
time and money.
Please ask for information on any forms we have, we would be glad
to save you money.
